Wedding Invitations Have Been Mailed!

Do we need to wait for the wedding invitation to book a room at the resort?

No, you do not need to wait. If you know you will be attending the wedding, please do not wait for the wedding invitation to book your room. Please book your room as soon as possible. Note, wedding invites will go out soon.

How long do we need to stay at the resort?

The length of your stay at the Paradisus Cancun is entirely up to you. Please note, the wedding will be on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, and negotiated room rates are only valid with a minimum stay of 3 nights. We recommend AT THE VERY LEAST to arrive on the 22nd and leave on the 25th. The majority of guests, including the bride and groom, will be staying an entire week.

Do I need to pay my entire stay upfront?

No! After you book your room on the landing page, the resort will send you a credit card link to your email address on file. From there you will be required to only pay a ONE NIGHT DEPOSIT to guarantee your room reservation. The rest of the room charges will be charged when you check in (unless you elect to pay prior to arrival). Please note, if you don’t submit the deposit within 48 hours of receiving the link by email, your room reservation will be cancelled automatically in the following 24 hours. The resort isn’t t responsible for any reservation without guarantee.

When is the last day to book with the discounted room rate?

We have negotiated lowered room rates for our guests at the Paradisus resort. Those rates overall (after taxes and fees) are much lower than what the average room rate currently goes for. Please note we have confirmed you can book your stay at any time before 12/22/24, but we suggest the sooner the better.

How do I upgrade my room?

To avoid any confusion, the room deposit to hold your reservation will be at the basic room rate. If you need a different room category after your make your reservation, please email our room coordinators at groups.paradisus.cancun@melia.com to request your room change and discuss pricing.

How are room rates quoted?

We have negotiated a lower all-inclusive rate with the resort for our guests. This rate is lower than any discount travel website offers. Rates are quoted per room, per night, in US dollars, and are All-Inclusive and include all applicable taxes and gratuities with the exception of the *environmental tax*. The environmental tax is a $4.00 charge, per room, per night of your stay.

What is the reservation procedure?

Please go to our resort landing page at https://events.melia.com/en/events/paradisus-cancun/Dumas---Jimenez-Wedding and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on "Book Now" in green. You will be asked to provide your travel dates and be shown the total price of your stay, but that is not what you will be charged yet. The resort will collect your CC and additional information, but they will not charge you here either. You will be emailed a payment link to the email address you previously provided and be requested to pay a one-night room rate fee "only" just to reserve your room. Please pay using that link within 48 hours of receipt or your reservation will be cancelled. The rest of your stay will be charged upon check in, unless you make different arrangements with our resort staff.

Is airfare included in the room rate?

No, airfare is not included with your stay and must be booked independently. Note, travel from the airport to the resort must also be booked independently.

Will I need a passport?

Yes, a passport is required to travel outside of the United States. If you do not have a passport yet, we suggest looking up places in your city that take passport applications. Please do this as soon as possible, as passports can take 2-3 months to arrive.

What is the room cancellation policy?

Any room cancellations must be made in writing to groups.paradisus.cancun@melia.com. For cancellation of bookings received 42 days or more prior to arrival, no cancellation fee will be charged. A cancellation of booking received from 41 days to 31 days prior to arrival WILL result in a cancellation fee equivalent for a one night stay to be charged to the Credit Card number provided upon reservation. Please note, 30 days prior to arrival date, a complete cancellation, a No Show or any Early Departures WILL result in a total charge for the entire stay. The No Shows and Early Departures will be invoiced at the contracted rate for the entire stay to be charged to the Credit Card number provided upon reservation.
